If the following list does not convince you, we encourage you to visit our testimonials page and see for yourself what people have to say about our system. - Cold Process System: The Glas-Shield System is a fluid applied system that is monolithic sealed with countless layers of chopped fiberglass strands and requires no heating during application. This allows the asphalt to maintain its full elasticity.
- Elasticity: Through a complex process every particle of asphalt in the Glas-Shield system is coated in bentonite clay, protecting it from harmful UV rays allowing it to maintain its full elasticity indefinitely.
- Glass Reinforced: Through use of The Gun the Glas-Shield Compound is infused with fiberglass strands that are evenly distributed thought the entire thickness of the Glas-Shield System in a 360 degree jackstraw pattern. Each strand of fiberglass reinforces the Glas-Shield System with tensile strength stronger then steel.
- Economical: When compared to the average cost (total cost of the roof divided by life expectancy of the roof) of other roofs the Glas-Shield System is one of the best investments around. Investigate before you buy; don’t be misled by exaggerated claims.
- Versatile: The Glas-Shield System can be applied to almost any surface or slope. Surfaces include but are not limited to metal, gravel, mineral cap sheets, and smooth-surfaced roofs. We surface slopes ranging from vertical to horizontal.

- Resists Blistering: Because of Microscopic channels in the Glas-Shield Compound water is able to escape the weathered side of the roof, yet prevent water from entering. This prevents vapor pressure that causes blistering from occurring.
- No Sag, Slide, Or Flow: The System is unaffected by high temperatures that can cause a roof to move. (Ref: A.S.T.M. Spec. No D 1227)
- Strong: Fiberglass strands infused into the Glas-Shield compound have more tensile strength than steel. Due to the even 360 degree jackstraw pattern that is used to evenly distribute the fiber glass throughout the Glas-Shield System stressed caused by thermal and building movement is distributed more evenly throughout the roof. This greatly reduces the chance of a split in the roof (one of the major problems in maintaining roofs over an extended period of time).

- Class A Fire Retardant: When The Glas-Shield System is applied over a 3 ply fiberglass built-up roof, polyester sheets, SBS, Or APP modified bitumen systems, on a wood combustible deck, Leak Seal Roofing, Inc acknowledges that you will receive a class A Fire Retardant Roof from I.C.B.O. or underwriters laboratory.
